Luhden

Luhden is a municipality in the district of Schaumburg, in Lower Saxony. The municipality belongs to the Samtgemeinde Eilsen and is located in Schaumburg district on the edge of the Weser Uplands. Luhden can be reached via the A 2 and is located approximately between Hannover and Bielefeld.

History

First mentioned in 1205 in the Westphalian Luhdens Urkundenbuch Msc VII No 2605 of the Provincial Archives of NRW, State Archives Münster.

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the neighboring community Schermbeck was incorporated.
