Luhe (Naab)

The Luhe (left) joins the Naab

The Luhe is a 26 km long left tributary of the Naab in the Upper Palatinate Forest, Bavaria ( Germany ).

Course

It rises near the hamlet Wampenhof at Waldthurn flows through Waldthurn Roggenstein, Kaimling, past Michldorf and Leuchtenberg and by gap Rieth and Luhe market. There she joins the Naab.

Because of the very steep slope many mills and hammer were built along the river course.

Fauna

Due to the almost purely agricultural land in the catchment area of the water Luhe has good quality so that occur very many species of fish, and crabs and clams in it.

Inflows

The main tributaries are the Trausenbach that Lerau and Gleitsbach.
