Luhnstedt
Luhnstedt is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
Luhnstedt is located about 15 km south of Rendsburg in Akrug Nature Park. West runs the main road 77 from Rendsburg to Itzehoe. From 1901 to 1957 was Luhnstedt station Rendsburgerstrasse circular path.
History
The village was mentioned in 1447 as " Lundstede ". The place name probably means " settlement on the Luhnau ". This Luhn means something like swamp or congestion, so Luhnau swamp creek or Staubach.
Policy
Of the nine seats in the municipal council voters Community KWG since the local elections in 2013 seven seats and voters Community AWGL two.
Economy
The municipal area is predominantly agricultural. Luhnstedt has its own water supply, which is organized as a cooperative.
