Lui

Lui (French him) is a French men's magazine.

History

Lui was founded by photographer Daniel Filipacchi, the building on the principle of Playboy magazine wanted to develop a men's magazine with a French twist. The subtitle of the magazine Lui, le magazine de l' homme moderne ( Lui, the magazine for the modern man ).

The magazine is published monthly in France since November 1963 until the early 1980s with considerable success. On the title pages have included Brigitte Bardot, Mireille Darc, Jane Birkin, Marlène Jobert and Brigitta Cimarolli to see.

As of March 1977, a German edition, which was set in 1992 appeared. As editor acted Heinz van Nouhuys.
