Luigi Batzella
Luigi Batzella ( born May 27, 1924 in San sperate, † November 18, 2008 in Cagliari ) was an Italian film director, actor and screenwriter.
Life
After the end of World War II Batzella came to Rome and visited the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. In 1953 he made his debut as an actor in Non è mai troppo tardi and concentrated until 1960 on the presentation, which he completed under the name Paolo Solvay. Especially frequently he took roles in small genre films by director Roberto Mauri, until he first time in 1966 both directed. It created a number of very inexpensive manufactured C films, today often enjoy the Trash as iconic; especially the Naziploitation film La bestia in calore made Batzella known. In 1985, he ended his career and returned to his hometown.
He used several pseudonyms as a director: Paul Hamus, Dean Jones and Ivan Kathansky.
