Luigi Bazzoni

Luigi Bazzoni ( born June 25, 1929 in Salsomaggiore, Parma, † March 1, 2012 ) was an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Bazzoni, who completed his education at Rome's Cinecittà and initially graduated in architecture, devoted himself thereafter directed. After numerous documentary short films he worked in feature films from 1958 to 1962 as an assistant director; he became known as a director primarily through his adaptation of Carmen material he filmed in 1967 as a spaghetti western. He turned next to a handful of other films, which had moderate success.
