Luigi Malerba

Luigi Malerba ( born November 11, 1927 in Berceto, Province of Parma; † May 8, 2008 in Rome, actually Luigi Bonardi ) was an Italian writer, journalist, screenwriter and author of short stories, novels, radio and television games.

Life

Malerba became the laureate in law and business for many years an advertising agency.

Together with Umberto Eco and others, he founded the Italian Neoavanguardia attributed writers association Gruppo 63 and lived in Rome and Orvieto. He started as a screenwriter and soon turned from the Italian Neorealism. In his short stories and novels, he developed a satirical, grotesque style that plays with narrative structures. His lyrics often make this an analysis of the interplay of power and corruption. Other subjects were the varieties of Catholicism and look behind the mirror of " reality and illusion ". His books have been translated into many languages ​​and read worldwide.

As co-director he was responsible for a play and a documentary in its screenplay.
