Luis Miguel Arconada Etxarri ( born June 26, 1954 in San Sebastian, Spain ) is a former Spanish- Basque football goalkeeper. With his club Real Sociedad in 1981 and 1982, he won the Spanish championship and the 1987 Copa del Rey. In the Spanish national team, he came from 1977 to 1985 to 68 matches.

Career

Arconada began his professional career in 1973 at Real Sociedad and remained this club faithful to the end of his active career in 1989. His professional debut was completed by the almost 1.80 meters tall goalkeeper only on 22 October 1975 to 1:3 defeat in the UEFA Cup game against Liverpool. He cashed in the 1979/80 season in the achievement of vice-championship in 34 league games only 20 goals and was first awarded for this record with the Trofeo Zamora.
