Luis Calderón Vega

Luis Calderón Vega ( born February 27, 1911 in Morelia; † 7 December 1989) was a Mexican author, politician and co-founder of the Partido Acción Nacional ( PAN).

Biography

Calderón studied at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México ( UNAM), where he was a member of the Catholic militant Unión de Estudiantes Catolicos ( UNEC ). He was married to María del Carmen González Hinojosa, with whom he had five children. He was well-known politician active in the state of Michoacán and as a deputy, founded in 1939 PAN many years in the House of Representatives of the Congress of the Union Mexico before 1981 he resigned his office in the PAN. He was professor at the Instituto Valladolid and wrote several books. Calderón died in 1989 of heart failure.

His first son Felipe was 2006 to 2012 president of the country, his second son, Juan Luis is a government official in Michoacán and his daughter María Luisa was formerly Senator.
