Luis Miguel Salvador

Luis Miguel Salvador ( born February 26, 1968 in Mexico City) is a former Mexican football player at the position of the striker. He is currently active in the management of his Exvereins CF Monterrey.

Life

Association

Salvador started his professional career in the 1989/90 season with his hometown club Atlante, with whom he won the Mexican championship in the 1992/93 season. After six years at Atlante in 1995 he joined the CF Monterrey. After two years with the Rayados he signed for Atlético Celaya, where he stood for the following two and a half years until the end of 1999 under contract. During the winter break of the season 1999/ 00 he returned to his roots and let his active career in the Torneo Clausura 2000 end with Atlante.

National

His debut in the dress of the Mexican national Salvador celebrated on 10 February 1993 in a 2-0 win against Romania. His last international match, he completed on 17 July 1995 in a goalless encounter with the United States.

His first international goal scored Salvador in a discharged on 29 June 1993 against Costa Rica, which was won 2-0. His most successful international match was the encounter with Jamaica (6:1) on July 22, 1993, when three goals reach him.

Height of his national team career was participating in the Football World Cup 1994, in which he in the group match against Ireland (2-1) was used, in which he was substituted ten minutes before the end of Carlos Hermosillo.
