Luitpold Coast

The Prince Regent Luitpold of land extending from 77 ° to 78 ° 15 ' south latitude and 27 ° 54' to 36 ° west, on the coast of the Weddell Sea and forms the southern continuation of Coats Land. It was discovered by Wilhelm Filchner, leader of the German Antarctic Expedition of 1911/12, and named after the Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria.

The Prince Regent Luitpold country is completely covered with ice, with the exception of three small Nunatakgruppen ( Littlewood, Bertrab and Moltke nunataks ).
