Lukas Graham
Luke Graham is a Danish music group from Copenhagen. It combines the styles of soul, funk, hip-hop and pop. Of the band members, the style is collectively called " Ghetto Pop ".
The band members all come from Copenhagen and were all at different times to the same school in 2009 and took her first songs on. Was named the band after their frontman Luke Graham Forchhammer, who in his childhood was a member of the Copenhagen Boys' Choir and operated as an actor and voice actor in the 90s. The career of the band started in 2011 when she captured on YouTube in two Forchhammers home videos of the song Criminal Mind and Drunk in the Morning published, which were circulated on Facebook. The band's sound spread in the Copenhagen underground and the record label Copenhagen Records, which is already Mads Langer recorded his first success, became interested in the group. In October 2011, the debut single by Luke Graham Ordinary Things was released, after which 30,000 tickets were sold for their first tour, although at this stage no album the band had appeared.
The first album of the band, which was titled after the band themselves, released in Denmark in March 2012 and reached as early as the first week after release Gold status. The album reached a total of two times platinum in Denmark. The Singles Ordinary Things, Drunk in the Morning and Criminal Mind also received platinum awards. The songs on the album were written by Lukas Forchhammer, Stefan Forrest, Sebastian Fogh and Brandon Beal.
In November 2012, the band seven times in the Danish version of the echo, the Danish Music Awards was nominated and won the award for " Best Newcomer ".
The music style of the band is described as affable and down to earth. Forchhammer itself admits to the fact that he had learned classical music in college, and had heard his father's old records. These include recordings of The Who, The Beatles and much rock'n'roll, so music that would be played with real instruments and inspired him musically were.
