Lukáš Pollert

Lukáš pollert ( born March 24, 1970 in Prague ) is a former canoe slalom racers in one - Canadians, who started only for Czechoslovakia and then the Czech Republic. He won a gold medal at the Olympic Games.

Career

Pollert took part in Barcelona at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He was only in second place behind Jon Lugbill, who had taken the course in 1:51,48 minutes and had two seconds behind. Only when a rod contact Lugbills was recognized and this is why five penalty seconds were added Luke pollert won the gold medal. Four years later, at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, pollert was beaten by Michal Martikan from Slovakia and won the silver medal. After the end of his career pollert works as a doctor.
