Luke Jordan

Luke Jordan ( born January 28, 1892 in Bluefield, West Virginia, USA, † June 25, 1952 in Lynchburg, Virginia) was an American blues guitarist and singer.

In August 1927 he took for Victor Records in Charlotte (North Carolina), his first pieces to, more followed in New York in November 1929. Then the Great Depression ended his short career. His most famous songs are Church Bells Blues, Pick Poor Robin Clean and Cocaine Blues, which was several times gecovert.

On August 15, 2001, he is a memorial plate in Lynchburg was ordained by the James River Blues Society.
