Luke Matheny

Luke Matheny ( born December 23, 1976 in Wilmington ) is an American actor, screenwriter and director.

Life

Matheny studied until 1997 at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Illinois and then worked as a journalist. He eventually graduated from the graduate film program at New York University. His final film was 2010 God of Love, in which he directed, wrote the screenplay and acted as lead actor. The film received in 2010 the Gold Medal of the Student Academy Awards and in 2011 was awarded an Oscar for Best Short Film.

Although Matheny suggested after the ceremony to try to turn any further short films, he published in 2011 The Date another short film. Since 2012, Matheny turns his film debut Love Sick with Matt LeBlanc in the lead role.
