Luke Schenscher

Luke Dean 's shear ( born December 31, 1982 in Hope Forest, South Australia ) is an Australian basketball player. He is the son of German immigrants. 's Shear is in the NBL since 2012 for the Adelaide 36ers active and played in the past, each for a short time in the NBA and the National Basketball League.

Playing career

The 2.16 m wide center played three years until 2001 basketball at the Australian Institute of Sport. In the U22 World Championships he played for the Australian youth team in Japan that finished eighth at the end after a defeat against Argentina in the quarterfinals. From 2001 to 2005 's shear then went to study at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States to Atlanta, where he played for the college team Yellowjackets in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC ) of the NCAA. In the 2003 /04 season he reached with the Yellowjackets the final match of the national NCAA finals, that was lost to the Huskies of the University of Connecticut. At the successful performance of the Yellowjackets in the NCAA tournament 's shear was elected to the " NCAA All- Final Four team." In 119 games for the Yellow Jackets, of whom he was in 90 games in the starting lineup, he scored an average of 7.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.

's Shear was selected in the 2005 NBA Draft by any NBA club, but got in the summer of 2005, a preliminary agreement by the Denver Nuggets in the most highly endowed professional league. After he was not retained in the final season the Nuggets squad, he played in the NBA Development League for the Flyers from Fort Worth, Texas. In early March 2006, he was with short-term contracts by the Chicago Bulls, committed, where already his compatriot Luc Longley had played previously very successful. The short-term contracts were eventually extended to end of season and Shen shear completed 23 missions in his debut season in the NBA 2005/ 06, three of them in the play-offs, where the Bulls were eliminated in the first round to eventual champion Miami Heat. Shortly before the start of the season the following season 's shearing was not included in the season the Bulls squad and released from his contract. He returned then to the " farm team " Fort Worth Flyers in the D -League and became the premiere of the D -League All- Star Games, where he became the side of his teammates and " MVP " Pops Mensah - Bonsu his Eastern Conference selection victory led. Although early appointed as a college player in 2002 in the men's selection of the Australian Basketball Association 's shear could never be recommended for a final squad given the competition in the " frontcourt " the Australian national team.
