Luke Slater

Luke Slater ( born June 12, 1968 in Reading, England ) is a British techno producer.

From the late 1980s he worked as a DJ in various clubs in London. Slater's own first recording was released in 1989 under the pseudonym Momentary Vision. Since then Slater published his work in various record labels, often using various pseudonyms. So its produced under the pseudonym Planetary Assault Systems recordings appear on the UK label Peacefrog Records. As Clementine, he published his work on the label Djax Records. In the Label novamute he used his own name.

Besides his own productions Slater is also active as a remixer who has reworked by music by Depeche Mode, Ken Ishii, Alter Ego, slam, Ballistic Brothers, Joey Beltram, Kenny Larkin, Newcleus and many other artists.

In March 2006, Luke Slater founded his own label Mote - Evolver. First release was a recording under the pseudonym Planetary Assault Systems as a record in the 12- inch format.

From April to end of May 2008 Slater hosted an international remix contest on the netlabel FOEM, at which hundreds of musicians from all over the world took part. Grand prize was a publication of the winning remixes for the label Mote - Evolver, but which is not yet published.

After a long connection with its activities as a resident DJ at Berlin's Berghain appeared in June 2009 his new album under the alias Planetary Assault Systems on the Berghain label Ostgut Ton.

After working with Nadja Saidakova, the first solo dancer of the Berlin State Ballet and Berghain to " Shut Up And Dance! Updated " in 2007, have Slater and Saidakova again in 2009 for the project" worked Egopoint ". Egopoint was choreographed by Saidakova while Slater composed the music under the pseudonym The 7th Plain.
