Luke Sutherland

Luke Sutherland (born 1971 in London) is one in England -born, Scottish author and musician.

Biography

Sutherland was in Orkney and Blairgowrie, Perth and Kinross, brought up by his Scottish adoptive parents who are 1876 drawn from Lincolnshire to Scotland. He attended Glasgow University, where he studied English drama. He is a musician and songwriter and was a founding member of the band Long Fin Killie, with whom he released three albums. He then formed the band Bows, published two albums and played violin with Mogwai and he both to the " Reading and Glastonbury festivals " accompanied (among others), as well as in the studio.

Music AM, Jomi Massage and We Can Love You are his current musical projects.

Sutherland's debut novel, Jelly Roll, 1998 was nominated for the Whitbread Prize, in the category 's first novel. His novella Venus As A Boy (2004) reported in detail Sutherland's own childhood in the Orkney Islands, where he was the only Scottish Africans.
