Luke Walton

Luke Theodore Walton ( born March 28, 1980 in San Diego, California ) is a former American professional basketball player. He played from 2003 to March 2012 in the U.S. professional league NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers as a small forward. Since March 2012, he was in the squad of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Previously, he completed a four-year study of genealogy at the University of Arizona. Walton is the former NBA player Bill Walton 's second youngest son. In March 2012 he was sent along with Jason Kapono to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In the summer of 2013 Walton announced to end his active career. He returned to Los Angeles and took a job as a Player Development Coach and assistant coach with the Los Angeles D- Fenders, the D - League team the Los Angeles Lakers.
