Luleå SK

Luleå Sportklubb (short Luleå SK ) is a sports club from Luleå in Sweden.

History

The club was founded on 22 October 1915 at the Café Lundgren in Storgatan. A year later, founded on 26 November 1916, the Bandyabteilung.

Departments

Bandy

After the establishment on 26 November 1916, the Bandymannschaft of Luleå SK played on December 3, 1916 against IFK ground and won the game 7-1. In 1922 the club won its first national title. Until the descent 1967, the club won a total of 19 national titles and five junior titles. Since 2007, the club plays only unterklassig and commutes between the leagues, four and six.

Hockey

By 1977, they played at Luleå Hockey SK also before the team split off and form the club Luleå HF together with the team from IFK Luleå 1979.

Football

The football department was primarily known for its women's team. They played briefly in the second highest division for women. The team was 2009, however, completely restructured and is today mainly of young players with an average age of 15.5 years. The coaches are Robert Abrahamsson and Urban Ståhl chest. Play their home games in the club Hertsö IP in Luleå. The association, which is a member of Norrbotten Fotbollförbund, 2009 won the Midnattsolscupen ( Midnight Sun Cup).

2007 played the gentlemen in Division IV and the ladies in the Division VI. 2010 Men's Division III and the ladies played in the Division IV

Winter sports

The winter sport is considered to be one of the focal points in the club's work. So won a club member Konrad Pettersson 1927 Vasaloppet, the largest cross-country skiing event in Scandinavia. In 1925 and 1926, won two members of the Association, the Swedish singles championships in ski jumping. 1925 Karl Edfast and 1926 Viktor Dahlén. Also Sven Johansson won the 1926 title at the nordic combined.
