Luna Park (Sydney)

Luna Park is an amusement park in Sydney, Australia on the east bank of the Lavender Bay and north of Sydney Harbour.

History

It was opened on October 4, 1935. The former operators were Herman Phillips, David Atkins and Ted Hopkins. The nine-meter high Lachgesicht park entrance has been since the opening of renewed eight times. 1979 died seven people when a fire broke out in the ghost train and the ride destroyed.
