Lund, Norway

Lund is a commune in the Norwegian Rogaland. The administrative center is located in Moi. The geographical area in which the municipality is called Dalane.

History

The municipality was founded in 1837. In 1965, the old municipality Heskestad became part of the municipality of Lund.

Coat of arms

The municipal coat of arms includes three acorns, representing the three places in the municipality: Moi, Hovsherad, Ualand / Heskestad. The coat of arms was designed in 1983 by Svein Arild Berntsen.

Traffic

In Moi is a station of the Sørlandsbanen, a railway line between Oslo and Kristiansand to Stavanger. For Moi, the European route E 39, where you can be reached in about one and a half hours to the closest airport in Stavanger runs.
