Luo Yin

Luo Yin (Chinese罗隐/罗隐, Pinyin Luo Yin, * 833 in Yuhang, † 909, eigtl Luo Heng ) was a Chinese writer who wrote essays and poetry.

Luo Yin missed several times the capital exam and pulled out in his homeland.

Luo Yin's work, which was not delivered to a large extent, includes poetry and prose, which often refer to historical events and regional issues, many of which are religious in nature, such as local deities, spirits and shamans or religious festivals. Allegories and pessimism are conspicuous components of his works, and these are usually viewed as satirical, but this is considered to be one-sided view.

Luo Yin collected his literary works from 867 in Chanshu ( " defamatory writings" ), from him five fu poems have survived and he served as a sort of clerk of the court of Qian Liu.
