Lupsingen

Lupsingen is a municipality in the district of Liestal in the canton of Basel -Country in Switzerland.

Geography

Lupsingen lies in a shallow basin of a side of the Oristals about 3 kilometers southwest of the capital of the canton Liestal.

The community Lupsingen bordered on the northeast by Seltisberg, to the east by Bubendorf, to the south and Ziefen Seewen (SO), on the west by Buren (SO) and to the north by Nuglar -St. Pantaleon (SO).

History

The first mention of Lupsingen dates from the year 1194 as Lubesingin.
