Lusa - Agência de Notícias de Portugal, S. A. is a Portuguese news agency.

It was founded in December 1986 as a limited company in Lisbon. The main shareholder is the Portuguese State. Seat and Zentralredaktion located at Rua Dr. João Couto, in the district of Benfica. Lusa widespread national and international news in newspapers, magazines, radio, television and websites around the world.

As a main focus of the Agency applies the production of articles and features about the Portuguese-speaking world; it supplies it mainly to media Lusophonie. Outside Portugal are the customers in Angola, Brazil, Guinea- Bissau, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Macao and East Timor. Lusa has, apart from Lisbon, six more regional editors, as well as offices in Brussels, Madrid, Berlin, Beijing, Luanda, Maputo, Bissau, Praia, Macao and Dili.

The images are composed of photojournalists own and in cooperation with foreign partner agencies.
