Lutherstadt Eisleben (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft)

The administrative community Lutherstadt Eisleben was a local authority in the district of Mansfeld- South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt.

Covering an area of ​​143.83 km ², there were 27 036 inhabitants ( 31 December 2006). Head of Administration Community was Jutta Fischer.

It was founded on 1 January 2005 and included the community Hedersleben and Eisleben as host municipality of the administrative community.

On 1 January 2009, the number of member municipalities was reduced by incorporation of the communities Bischofrode, Osterhausen and Schmalzerode in Eisleben from the original five to two.

On 15 June 2009 the municipality Burgdorf changed from the administrative community Gerbstedt in the administrative community Lutherstadt Eisleben.

On 1 January 2010, the administrative community was disbanded due to the incorporation of the latter two communities Hedersleben and Burgdorf to Eisleben.
