Luttange

Luttange ( German Lüttingen ) is a commune with 904 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

The community Luttange is approximately 13 kilometers south-east of Thionville.

History

The town was first mentioned in 825 as Leutermingas and has a castle dating from the 13th century. Since 1659 he is part of France.

Luttange is located on the French side of the former German - French language border.

Since 1810, the village Kirsch -lès- Luttange northerly is incorporated (Kirsch at Lüttingen ).
