Lutterworth
Lutterworth is a town and municipality in the district of Harborough, Leicestershire, England. At the 2001 census it had a population of 8,293.
Location
The city is located eleven kilometers north of Rugby in Warwickshire and 24 kilometers south of Leicester.
History
King John granted the town the right to hold markets in 1214. To date, a market is held here. From 1374 to 1384 was John Wycliffe at the Church of St. Mary Rector. Here therefore the first performed by him translation of the Bible from Latin into English has taken place.
