Lutz Philipp

Lutz Philipp ( born October 14, 1940 in Königsberg, † February 1, 2012 in Darmstadt ) was a German long-distance runner.

Work

In 1964 he retired from about 5000 meters in the flow at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The following year he exhibited with 28:44,8 minutes in the 10,000 meters initially a DLV record and then scored a week after he had won over the same distance his first German championship title on August 12 in Augsburg with 28:35, 6 minutes of the general German record. In the Universiade, he won over 5000 meters silver medal.

At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966, he was twelfth in the 10,000 meters. The following year, he won over the same distance bronze medal at the Universiade.
