Luzius Rüedi

Lucius Rüedi ( born June 12, 1900 in Thusis, † July 19, 1993 in Zurich ) was a Swiss ice hockey player, who won the Swiss national team at the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 the bronze medal. With the HC Davos, he was throughout his career four times Swiss champion.

Career

Lucius Rüedi was born in Thusis in the canton of Grisons, but grew up in Davos. He played 1922-1930 as a defender for the HC Davos and won with this in 1926, 1927, 1929 and 1930, the Swiss Championship. He also won the Club 1927 Spengler Cup.

In the 1930/31 season, he was active for the Academic EHC Zurich, before he could finish his career in 1931-1933 when Grasshopper Club Zurich.

International Rüedi represented his native country, among others, at the Ice Hockey World Championship in 1930, where he won the bronze medal. Previously, he had participated in St. Moritz for the Swiss national team at the Olympic Winter Games in 1928. With his team, he won the bronze medal. He came in the tournament in four games for use.

Rüedi graduated in 1925 from the University of Zurich Faculty of Medicine and practiced later than ear, nose and throat doctor in Vienna and Bern. In 1948 he became director of the Department of Oto -Rhino- Laryngology, University Hospital Zurich, where he also acted as Professor of Oto-Rhino - Laryngology and 1970.
