Lycoming O-435
The Lycoming O -435 is an air-cooled aircraft engine of the U.S. manufacturer Lycoming. Through various changes of the company and the names AVCO Lycoming Textron Lycoming or be used sporadically.
Developed from the four-cylinder engine O -290 O -435 has a displacement of 435 cubic inches ( 7.13 liters corresponds ). The six-cylinder boxer engine with a carburetor, like all reciprocating aircraft engines a dual ignition. The remarks TVO 435 or 435 VO was used predominantly in the Bell 47 Helicopter. The TVO 435 provides a starting power of 270 hp ( for a limited period of a few minutes) and a continuous output of 220 hp at an engine speed of 3200 min -1. The compression ratio is 7.3:1.
