Lygia Bojunga Nunes

Lygia Bojunga Nunes ( born August 26, 1932 in Pelotas ) is a Brazilian children 's and teen book author.

Life

At the age of eight years she moved to Rio de Janeiro, at age 19 she joined a touring theater group. The confrontation with the illiteracy in rural areas prompted her to found a school, she worked for five years. After several years of editorial work in radio and television, she made ​​her debut in 1972 with her ​​first children's book.
