Lymphangion

Lymphangion as that part of a lymph vessel is known, which is located between two flaps. These are similar to the vein to be regarded as a duplication of the endothelial cell layer. The lymphangion has a longitudinal and circular muscle. This layer is provided by a number of nerve endings that are connected to the autonomic nervous system. These nerves are the Parasympathikusnetzwerk and encourage the lymphangion to contract (in rest 10 - to 12 times per minute) and thus secure the transport of lymph. Due to this the lymphangion contractions is referred to as " Lymphherz ".
