Lyn Lemaire

Lyn Lemaire ( born July 6, 1951 in Santa Monica as Eleanor Lynette Lemaire ) is a former American triathlete and cyclist.

Career

As a student Lyn Lemaire launched in swimming for the U.S. National Team. In 1976 she reached a new record in the 25-mile distance ( 1:00:06,7 hours) in cycling. 1977 and 1978 she was national champion in the time trial

Lyn Lemaire in 1979 was the first female winner of the Ironman Hawaii. Once at the Erstaustragung in the previous year no women were lined up, they launched in January 1979 as the only woman and reached a fifth goal.

In 1984, Lemaire magazine Ultra Sport magazine.

In 2003, she was recorded with Gordon Haller (winner of the Ironman Hawaii Erstaustragung 1978) into the Ironman Hall of Fame.
