Łyna, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Łyna [' wɨna ] ( German Lahna ) is a village in Poland. It belongs to the municipality Nidzica and is 16 km north of the city Nidzica ( German: Neidenburg ) near the source of the river all (river) ( Łyna ). The place belongs to the powiat Nidzicki, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.

History

The first mention was made on March 12 1387th Lahna was the church of the same game since at least 1540 center.

The place was until 1945 part of the East Prussian district Neidenburg.

During the Battle of Tannenberg in August of 1914, the place was hotly contested. The dead were buried in the cemetery of honor Lahna.

Lahna was occupied on 20 January 1945 by Russian troops.
