Lyndon is a place ( with a status of "Village" ) in Whiteside County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2010, Lyndon had 648 inhabitants.

Geography

Lyndon is located at 41 ° 43'03 " north latitude and 89 ° 55'33 " west longitude and extending over two square kilometers. The town is the center of Lyndon Township.

Lyndon is located on the Rock River, approximately 25 km east of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa. Towns nearby are Morrison (13,9 km north-northwest ), Prophetstown (8 km south) and Erie (15 km southwest).

Traffic

Along the northern Ortsrandes extends Interstate 88, which connects Chicago to the Quad Cities.
