Lyngby Boldklub

The Lyngby Boldklubben af 1921 is a Danish football club from Lyngby - Taarbæk municipality and currently plays in the second division of Denmark, the 1st Division. The club colors are blue and white.

General

The club was founded in 1921. Overall, Lyngby won twice the Danish Championship three times and the Danish Cup. After the many successes in the 1980s and 1990s, the club had to declare bankruptcy in 2001 and rose forcibly from the second Danish league. According to a further decline in 2002 in the third Danish league, the club was able to play again in the first division and played the 2007/08 year in the Super League. The rise followed the direct re- descent. After the 2nd place in 2009/10 Lyngby rose from the Viasat Sport Division again in the SAS - Ligaen.

The association in 1992 became known were in the squad at the Danish triumph at the European Football Championship 1992 in Sweden, as a total of four Lyngby player. The cadres of the old boys' team of the club consists of players like the brothers Michael and Brian Laudrup. The largest youth success the club had in 2006, when the U-18 Danish youth champion.
