Lynn Haven on the south by the city Panama City and is located approximately 140 kilometers west of Tallahassee.

History

1927 Lynn Haven was recognized as a city. In 1928 they built the first city hall.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 18 493 inhabitants distributed to 8,266 households. The population density was 876.4 inh. / Km ². 83.2 % of the population were white, 10.0% African American, 0.6 % Native American and 2.4% Asian Americans. 0.9% were members of other ethnic groups and 2.9% in different ethnic groups. 4.1% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 23.2 % of all households lived in 35.3 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 68.8 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.45 persons and the average family size is 2.95 people.

33.7 % of the population were younger than 20 years, 25.6% were 20-39 years old, 28.7 % were 40-59 years old and 18.1 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 38 years. 47.4 % of the population were male and 52.6 % female.

The average annual income was $ 57,122, while 9.0 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 96.09 % of the population spoke Spanish 2.46% and 1.45 % had a different mother tongue.

Traffic

Lynn haven is crossed by the Florida State Roads 77 and 390. The Tallahassee Regional Airport is located approximately 140 km east of the city.

Crime

The crime rate in 2010 was 253 points ( U.S. average: 266 points ) within the average range. There was a rape, nine robberies, 48 injuries, 67 burglaries, 512 thefts, 13 car thefts and one arson.
