Lynne Cheney

Lynne Ann Vincent Cheney ( born August 14, 1941 in Casper, Wyoming) is an American literary scholar and author. She is the wife of the 46th Vice President of the United States, Richard B. Cheney. You got to know in high school and married in 1964.

Cheney graduated from Colorado College and the University of Colorado with distinction. At the University of Wisconsin, she was with a dissertation on Matthew Arnold 's Possible Perfection: A Study of the Kantian Strain in Arnold 's Poetry doctorate.

Cheney stood before in the years 1986 to 1993, the federal agency National Endowment for the Humanities. In the years 1994-2001 she served on the Board of the Lockheed Corporation, for which she received $ 120,000 per year. In 1995, she founded the conservative organization American Council of Trustees and Alumni.
