Lytvyn Bloc

The block Lytwyns ( German for Blok Lytwyna ) or people block Lytwyns was a Ukrainian party alliance led by former parliamentary speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn. It was dissolved in 2012, after 2011, the formation of electoral coalitions had been banned on the parliamentary elections.

The "People block Lytwyns " 2006

In advance of the 2006 parliamentary elections, the then President of the Verkhovna Rada, Volodymyr Lytvyn a party alliance founded, under the name of People's block Lytwyns ( Narodnyj Blok Lytwyna ) from his People's Party ( Narodna partija ), the Left Party Justice ( Sprawedliwist ) and the Democratic Agrarian Party ( Ukrajinska Seljanska Demokratytschna Partija ). The "Block Lytwyna " 2007

Before the 2007 parliamentary elections, a new electoral alliance to Volodymyr Lytvyn, the block Lytwyns calls itself originated. From the old party alliance remained only Lytwyns People's Party. The second partner was the Labor Party of Ukraine ( Trudowa Partija Ukrajiny ). The first five list seats during the 2007 elections occupied Volodymyr Lytvyn, Serhiy Hrynewezkyj, Mykola Derkach, Oleksiy Harkuschka and Viktor Pylypyschyn. At 3.96 % of the votes of the catchment managed the new parliament with 20 deputies. The fraction of block Lytwyns was the smallest of the new Rada.

After the elections, the block was negotiating with the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych on forming a coalition government. However, the two parties had not only a majority of the seats in Parliament.
