Lyubov Morgunova

Lyubov Wassiljewna Morgunowa (Russian: Любовь Васильевна Моргунова, English transcription Lyubov Morgunova, . Born January 14, 1971 in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan ) is a Russian marathon runner.

Her first major success was winning the 1997 Twin Cities Marathon in 2:30:43. The following year, she was seventh respectively in the Nagoya Marathon and at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest and second in the Beijing Marathon in 2:28:51. In 1999, she won in Nagoya in 2:27:43, was second in the Amsterdam Marathon and won the Zevenheuvelenloop.

In 2000, she was the London Marathon on the eighth and at the Olympic Games in Sydney on the 23th rank and won the Honolulu Marathon. A third in the Boston Marathon in 2001 and an eighth place finish at the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton followed at the end of the title defense in Honolulu.

Nearly two years later, she returned with a victory at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon back into the competition scene. In 2004, she won for the third time in Honolulu, and in 2005 they finished sixth in Boston and Fifth in Honolulu.

Each third was at the Rock 'n ' Roll Marathon in 2006 and the Nagano Marathon in 2007, and at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka, she took tenth place.

In 2008 she won the Antalya Marathon on the half-marathon, won the Rotterdam Marathon with her personal best of 2:25:12 and finished ninth at the New York City Marathon. In 2009, she finished fourth at the Los Angeles Marathon, came at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin on the 32th place and was second in the Singapore Marathon.
