Lyudmila Rogachova

Rogatschowa Lyudmila (Russian Людмила Васильевна Рогачёва, English transcription Lyudmila Rogachova, . Born October 30, 1966 in Lad Balka, Stavropol region ) is a former Russian middle distance runner and Olympic silver medalist.

In 1991 she won in their specialist discipline, the 1500 -meter run, gold at the World Indoor Championships in Seville and bronze at the World Championships in Tokyo.

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, she started for the combined team of the CIS and took over 1500 m silver medal behind the Algerian Hassiba Boulmerka ( gold) and Qu Yunxia before the Chinese (bronze).

After a 13th place at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993 she won the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994 the title over 1500 m. This time they also launched over 800 meters, where she won bronze.

Rogatschowa stepped over 1500 m still with two more world championships: 1995 in Gothenburg they finished ninth, 1999 in Seville she divorced in the run- off. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, she reached the semi-finals.
