M-Flo

M -Flo (Japaneseエムフロウ; Emu furo ) (own notation: m -flo ) is a Japanese hip hop group consisting of producer Taku Takahashi and rapper Verbal.

Originally the group consisted of three members. The singer Lisa left the group in 2002 for a solo career.

Career

Verbal and Taku met for the first time at St. Mary's International School in Tokyo. Both found themselves as a group in NMD, which sat on drums Taku and Verbal worked as a rapper. The focus of the group was in the freestyle. After it was clear that they want to be a group, they have Elizabeth Sakura Narita invited the Colombian roots. She was then known as Lisa. Before M -Flo, she performed Unika as a pseudonym, but was not successful. In 1998, she sent a demo to the record company Avex Trax, where they later a record deal, the sub label Rhythm Zone got.

After the debut at the record label Rhythm Zone with the single The Tripod EP, which can manifest itself with 9th place and more than 144,000 units sold, followed after a few singles, the debut album Planet Shining, which was successful. It debuted at number 6 on the Oricon charts and sold a total of up to 333,000 times. It was also based on the year 2000, at number 66 of the biggest selling albums of 2000 in Japan.

However, the singer Lisa left the band because they wanted to work on her solo career and so the M -Flo loves ... era was born.

M -Flo loves ...

M -Flo loves ... is a very well known and partially successful project in Japan. With this project, published M- Flo, with many various other artists, songs. The first artist from the project was Crystal Kay, here was the single Reeewind! recorded, which could be up for sale 50,000 times. Parallel discography was taken care of by the single I Like It is recorded, which also belongs to the M -Flo Loves ... project, but does not count in the discography of M -Flo and this single even up to 60,000 for Kay's could sell times.

Since 2012

For five years, M -Flo, first published her sixth studio album on 14 March 2012, which they called Square One. However, it could not build on the previous successes and sold after three weeks researched nearly 20,000 times and reached number 10 on the Oricon charts.
