M. J. Seaton

Michael John Seaton (born 16 January 1923 in Bristol, † 29 May 2007) was an English mathematician, physicist and astronomer.

Seaton was from 1963 professor of physics at University College London. He was 1979-1981 President of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1981 and awarded the gold medal. He also received the 1984 Guthrie Medal and Prize of the Institute of Physics and 1992, the Hughes Medal of the Royal Society.
