The MM Warburg & CO KGaA in Hamburg with a balance sheet total of 4181.7 million EUR one of the major private banks in Germany. The Member of the Warburg Group are represented at 20 locations in 13 German cities as well as in Switzerland ( Zurich ) and in Luxembourg.

History

The bank was founded in 1798 by brothers Moses Marcus Warburg and Gerson Warburg.

The main business in the early days was the trading of foreign exchange and changes. Because they were Jews who were forced to leave in the 1930s, the Warburg Germany. The Loyal General Agents Rudolf Brinckmann and a business friend Johann Jacob Paul Wirtz took over in 1938 by Max Warburg Bank. Head, Private Banking and Berlin offices

Since 1867, the headquarters is located in Ferdinand Straße 75 in Hamburg. Designers was the Hamburg architect Martin Haller. The Bank is also actively beside their daughters with Private Banking in Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich. Since January 2007, the Bank launched its new representative office in Behren- Palais in Berlin -Mitte. MM Warburg & CO was set up in 1926 a "Berlin office " as a contact point for the business world and the political events in the capital.
