M. Vasalis

M. Vasalis (birth name: Margaretha Drooglever Fortuyn Leenmans; born February 13, 1909 in The Hague, † 16 October 1998 Roden, Noordenveld, Drenthe, Netherlands) was a Dutch psychiatrist and writer.

Life

After school she studied medicine and was after graduation worked as a psychiatrist.

Later, she also began a literary activity and wrote poems and short stories in addition to descriptions of everyday modern humans. 1940 was one of her book onweer to the free issued by booksellers books during the so-called Boekenweekgeschenk. Her most famous books of poetry include Parking en woestijnen (1940 ), De bird Phoenix (1947 ) and Kunstenaar s verzet (1958).

For her work as a whole they initially received the 1974 Constantijn Huygensprijs and 1982 vergebenenen since 1947 the Dutch Literature Prize PC Hooft - prijs.
