Autópálya M1 (Hungarian for ' M1 ') is a running east -west motorway in Hungary and part of the European Routes 60, 65 and 75 It starts in the west of the state capital Budapest, passing Tatabánya, Győr and ends at Hegyeshalom on the border with Austria. There it joins the East motorway at (A4).

The M1 is from Budapest, the direct road link with the capitals of Austria, Vienna, and Slovakia, Bratislava (via M15 ) ago. Therefore, it is one of the most important highways in Hungary.

A large part of the 170 km route is highway toll, are exempt:

  • The section within the Budapest ring
  • The avoidance of Tatabánya
  • The avoidance of Győr
  • The course of the E 65 in the range of Mosonmagyaróvár
