The M10 motorway (English for, highway M10 ') was a 4.5-km long motorway in the south of St Albans, England. It was opened in 1959 and linked the M1 motorway with the A 414 As he had no further connection points, he was thus actually only one feeder.

The M10 was motorway as part of a ring road - designed and built with the aim of the M 1 current traffic on the A5 (now A 5183 ) and on the North Orbital Road and - together with the connection points 5 - 10a of the M1 A 6, the Barnet by-pass (A 1, although the main route of the A 1 to M 1 via the A 41 Watford by-pass to Berry Grove was ) to distribute. This happened because the capacity of the category " A" roads was less than that of the highways and because the traffic could be aufgesplitted sure to avoid large tailbacks at the respective ends of what the highways would be rendered useless.

With the expansion of M 1 between the M 25 and M 10 was the Luton downgraded road in May 2009 on the A 414.
