The M3 motorway (English for, M3 motorway ') is a motorway in the English counties of Hampshire and Surrey. It runs from Sunbury-on -Thames to Eastleigh and is about 94 kilometers long. The highway was built around the A30 and the A33, the jam -loaded single-lane highways that previously the traffic load contributed to relieve. Part of this highway is a part of the European Route 5 - but these are not marked in the United Kingdom.
History
The construction of the M3 took a total of 24 years ( 1971-1995 ) and was mainly gradually from northeast to southwest:
- Terminal 1 to 3: 1974
- Connection 3-8: 1971
- Connection 8 through 10: 1985
- Terminal 10 to 12: 1995
- The section between terminal 12 and 14 in 1992 signposted as a motorway.
