The M45 motorway (English for, highway M45 ') is a short motorway in the Midlands of England. It serves as a feeder out to Motorway M1 from Coventry.

This highway is the second oldest highway Britain along with the M1 and the M10 and was built in 1959. It was built to distribute the traffic over existing A- road network more efficient, as it then was no subsequent highways; the M45 took the road towards Birmingham and was the counterpart of the M10 near St Albans. But the M6 was released in 1972 to the north and the majority of the traffic was there relocated, so now the M45 is one of the least traveled highways of the United Kingdom.

If one disregards the later construction of the junction at Dunchurch and installation of guardrails on the parting strip, the highway is still far in original condition and is still crossed by the original transfers from the 1950s.
